Paper sculptures was a series miniature works that I started over quarantine. These were intended as small explorations of simple elements, objects and emotions.
Each shape and gesture represents the minimal expression of a feeling or a movement. That combined with itself, or other shapes, generates a simple structure and opportunity.
Each day I would draw something, attached to a feeling. For 100 days I created these sculptures without the intention of judging the work and letting things come organically.
Finally I turned my select miniatures into sculptures that I felt had something more to say. These works were transformed from flat objects into 3D works for more exploration.
Some of the sculptures can now be found in my body of work, as well as its influence.
