Pamela Smith is a self taught painter based in Bristol, Vermont. Her work is primarily portraiture of women and their relations; children, men and animals accompany the protagonists painted amidst vibrant colorful backgrounds. Five of her Madonnas, life size paper mache sculptures, are part of the permanent collection at the Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore where one was recently featured in the exhibit YUMMM! The History, Fantasy, and Future of Food.
