Pop Maltese cultural art- The idea was initially based on a common said maltese phrase “Pajjiz tal- Mickey Mouse” meaning "The Island of Mickey Mouse ". I did not want to portray such negativity for our beautiful country, and nor am I a negative person, so why not put a twist to the phrase to something positive. I mean Disney at the end of the day makes kids happy, so I started working on an ever changing character that symbolises Malta, inspired by Micky of course.
All elements (colours, shapes, etc.) are inspired by our Maltese surroundings and our culture. It's pop cultural art. This whole project is based on play, I'm curious to see where it will take me.
