Mel Blohm has been interested in the ways people look at art. While pursuing this idea, he began to push the bounds of what paisley patterns can create. He found that leading a viewer into the composition with the organic shapes the paisley patterns create allows the viewer to be captured in the soothing, swirling effect. This method of composition intentionally leads each viewer follow a similar path as they enjoy the piece.
