I’m a self-taught Chilean painter and illustrator based in Washington D.C. I usually work with mix-media: i.e., ink, acrylic paint, beads, wool, and feathers on wood panels. My work focuses on the surreal representation of the female anatomy, its hormones, and the way in which they work as crystal-images--i.e., images that aid us in seeing a world beyond the visible, a world that throbs with all the signs and symptoms of an a-chronological time.
