My work is grounded in the body and its inner psychological and biological workings. Through printed layers and physical pattern-building, my images build narratives about the connections between time, labor, play and discovery. My collages are created with a “byproduct” of my printing process. For these I utilize the offset prints that are made in the process of cleaning my printing plates, which I have collected hundreds of in recent years. This series of collages points directly to my interest in geology, and how expansive formations in the earth can be made by small actions over an immense amount of time.
