In my photography I am trying to find places that are ignored. I am looking for the outskirts, for places that people just pass, empty lots behind construction sites, the city's no-man's land. It is in such places that I find tranquillity, but also signs of history, old railway tracks, abandoned sheds. I am also a hobbyist historian, and I believe that history is something that surrounds us, and in such places we can feel it strongly.
I work slowly, with a tripod a spirit level to make my photos as neutral as possible, to document how things look as they look, without resorting to tricks of perspective. Sunday early morning is the best time, when everything is fresh and empty.
This is an ongoing project.
