“mr. i don’t care”

Our work is tactile, physical, urgent, and at times dreamy. It is impish, inspired by styles of hiphop and ballet, exploration of fragmented inner stories, and the vitality of domestic decadence. Taylor + Jerimy have been nurtured by the NYC's vibrant dance culture, while professionally training in classical ballet, jazz and modern. Honing in on the expansiveness of these styles gives us access to a unique sense of rhythm, groove, and partnering. We have many influences to draw upon aesthetically, but our goal when creating is to leave no part of the body unattended. Attention, intention and presence are key components to our process. Performing in this way feels like a vulnerable, rebellious act in contrast to modern social tropes. This body of work slinks and writhes. It is hell-bent on seeking pleasure or facing fear.
