In the series “Movement” the photographer blurs the surroundings and the individual turns out to be the only subject, resulting in an image that is far apart from a mere reproduction of reality.
By using this technique, not only is the person individualized by becoming the axis of movement, but he is also isolated from the surroundings. In some cases the elements around the person emphasize the sensation of solitude, like tiny humps that simulate islands, and columns that have turned into lighthouses in a vertiginous environment.
The characters are deprived of their appearance, resulting in anonymous carriers of grotesque expressions of pain and suffering. This series, poetic in its color palette, harbors questions about urban isolation and universal solitude.
