Working at the intersection of new media and drawing and painting, my work balances modern with traditional, burden with freedom, and discomfort with aesthetic. My style uses juxtaposition, mixing, morphing, and overlapping to draw new connections through web, 3D models, digital photomontage, sculpture and drawing. Artistically I take inspiration from the innovation of surrealism and internet-era aesthetic and novelty. What I create is only ever limited by concept and takes the look that is necessary for the project. With topics ranging from the unchanging racism in the United States to the lack of support for victims of depression, each piece challenges the audience and forces them to connect to feelings that, depending on the viewer, they either know too well or not well enough.
