Using photography, I aim to visualize the unfortunate reality many Americans face in this car-centered world. Vehicles were created to make life easier for humans, but we took that invention, enthroned it, and made it nearly impossible to live without. Where cities used to be of service to humans, they are now designed with vehicles in mind. Individuals without one often feel alienated because they do not have access to things vehicle-owners do. The lack of adequate public transportation and walkable spaces further isolate people that do not have a vehicle at their disposal. With these photos I highlight how unwelcoming vehicle centered spaces can be for humans to navigate.
