Mingyi Gan is a New York-based illustrator, graphic designer and zine maker.
As a unique and versatile visual artist specialized in vibrant color and fashionable composition, Mingyi also masters profound human body modeling and preeminent line quality. Through visually captivating and intellectually stimulating original artworks, Mingyi explores her understanding of the world within the boundaries of neoteric surrealism.
Rather than draw inspirations directly from contemporary illustrators, she tends to look for digestible information and resources from other fields. She extracts essence from music, architecture, graphic design, and fashion etc. from the real world’s surroundings.
She has primarily worked on posters and cover art designs. She has also worked on graphic design projects.
