A friend shared about "the most magical place in the world,” so I visited Oaxaca. I instantly fell in love with its climate, vibrant buildings, art, food, and cherished traditions. Oaxaca, an artist's haven, bursts with color, art, and heritage. My second visit coincided with the Day of the Dead, a highlight of the year. Despite its solemn name, it's a beautiful celebration where the departed are warmly welcomed back every year. Streets fill with vibrant decorations, costumes, and heartfelt offerings of the most favorite things of the deceased. After three years of living there and being constantly inspired by the beauty of this wonderful country, my paintings reflect the essence of Oaxaca's vibrant culture.
