In my art work, I prefer photography and video. Photography for me is a way of expression and a research tool. I have bipolar II disorder and by creative work and photography I can express my feelings and states, and questions that interest me, such as fear, sexuality, identity, loneliness, imagination.. I have bachelor’s degree in psychology, and this together with photography allows me to expand the boundaries and explore the inner space using visual metaphors or forms. So for these reasons most often I photograph myself.
Photo series of self-portraits "Melancholia" has been taken as a reflection of my bipolar II disorder, episode of melancholic depression. In the series I wanted to show the aspects of non-integrity and the multitude of ego, questions of identity and loneliness.
