Of late I've expanded my technical vocabulary, by buying spray paint and an air gun. What a revelation, after years with a brush! The transparency of the deposition, the chance to layer, layer, layer (really, the chance to reveal time, as if I'm laying down geologic strata on canvas or paper, either virgin and awaiting, or already with an image to be covered) and the semi-randomness of the results (I am never certain what will come out of the nozzle, how the color will interact with the bed already laid down, or whether I'll accidentally spray myself in the face) bring joy to my heart. I recommend it!
