In this series of 5 aquatinted etchings my ideas about home are illustrated in a symbolically connected story. I have come to understand home as not just a physical place but one that our psychology is actively contending with and manipulating. As time passes through us, we are given the responsibility of making our own home and we must address what ingredients will be included. Who and what will we invite into our homes? Even if we are not conscious of it, our homes are reflections of our inner selves. A home's identity has a radiance that touches the world, it bleeds inside and out. Each print is evidence of human existence, whether that be our dwellings, the mechanisms of the spirit, or our cosmic neighborhood. This marriage is between the architecture that we inhabit and the electricity of our hearts.
