These images are 35 mm film photographs and one medium format film photograph, and are a combination of documentary photography and conceptually posed work. These specific images are taken during the magic hour (before dawn or at dusk). The underlying theme of all of my work is how the little things mean everything: the way shadows hit walls, the moments spent with friends and family where nothing specific is happening beyond sharing a moment together, and the beautiful scenes we see from a distance that grab our eye but we are not engaged in. These little things make up our everyday, and help us make meaning of life. In this way, the little things mean everything and these images are helpful reminders to pay attention to your meaning.
