These playfully color-graded photographs, taken in studio settings, were collected over the past few years in collaboration with local Austin, Texas DIY fashion/culture zines like A La Moda and Saffron Magazine (now named Saffron Creative House). In addition, these photographs were taken with the equipment and studio space at Studio 650 out of their generosity. Unless you live in Texas, there is a lack of knowledge about the artistic scene here. We make do. There is a vibrant plethora of indie creatives whose dreams are not stopped by a scarcity mindset.
After being raised in Texas for the past 18 years, I understand why people have so much pride in living there. Southern hospitality is embedded in the culture and I have had the pleasure to work with people who hope to diversify the entertainment industry.
