My collection's inspired by the film "The Color of Pomegranates". "Love and Poem" comes from the film's representation of the love life of Armenian poet Sayat Nova. I appreciate the film uses many brightly-colored still images for symbolism and metaphor; what attracts me most is the expressionless of each character from beginning to end, repeating the actions full of ritual. These characters seem to be emotionless, just like garments, but the creators use cool and warm tone colors and clever stitching to show their inner emotions and warmth. I also want to use lingerie, a taboo topic in religion, to express this religious film, which is the same as the theme that the director wants to express. Under the real system and sad times, only art and creation can express people's thoughts freely, and eternal existence.
