My work is a reflection of what is, and a glimpse of what is to come. It is a response, or a rebuttal, if you will, to the darkness of this life, birthed out of my anticipation for renewal. I spend time pondering on the difficulties of the human condition: pain, poverty, sickness, death. The foundation of each piece of work flows from the time I spend meditating on these things. My work is a reply to these hard truths of life. While they are difficult to think about, my faith leads me to not dwell in the darkness of it all, but to turn to hope. I desire for my paintings to personify a sense of hope and freedom from restraints, whether they be physical or mental, and for each person who sees them to be inspired by that.
Looking. Forward.
