My work questions the relationship between color and form, by using color as camouflage, and having each subject immersed in color. Each photograph shows intimate depictions of my personal projections of solitude, and anxiety, which are heavily influenced by the human condition. This body of work is the start of a long term series titled, Like Watching Paint Dry, which is how my father described his life after retiring from over twenty years on the police force. This series explores my attempts at understanding my father now, as an adult, since his job kept him away from home during my childhood.
