I’ve always held a fascination and appreciation for musical instruments—both their beauty and their ability to produce sounds altering our feelings and senses. Even though I’ve never been able to play one, I designed a way to celebrate and repurpose cast off, broken musical instruments for another, useful life as an illuminated piece for art assemblage or commonly referred to as a lamp, with a difference. Each piece includes a main light, a night light and a candle holder for ambiance, or when there is no electricity. Elements of whimsy, flight, time, and steampunk create an unmatched character for a one-of-a-kind sculpture. The more you look, the more you see.
