My recent series of gouache paintings are glimpses into portals through time. Influenced by the single-point perspective and architecture of Mughal miniature paintings, as well as the idea of the Zenana, I build and rebuild moments from my life, both the ones that I have already experienced, and the ones that are yet to come. The paintings depict various versions of myself - one of them is the me that I am in this current moment, and the other is a me that I have forgotten. The paintings depict our journey.
