Mythologically or religiously the garden was seen as an imaginary space, an environment favourable to the meditation, to the confrontation between the mortal human being and the eternally returning nature. Today the garden is a place where people go to escape the city, to take a break from life and waste their time. In my opinion, there is a connection between these two concepts. I wanted to illustrate this idea by documenting on black and white film the different conditions of people who occupy the beautiful gardens of Paris.
