Linda Ridd Herzog
My interest in wildlife was sparked by my upbringing in the natural splendor of Salt Lake City, Utah. Though I have taken classes and workshops, I am a self-taught painter. With the results of my trials and errors, and experiments, I found a unique style of my own.
My work is a marriage of marine life and wildlife with fantasy or surrealism. Most of my paintings come from my dreams at night. Often I wake from particularly vivid dreams in the middle of the night and sketch my visions that I think will become a nice painting in a sketchbook I keep on my end table.
Work that I have done have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Tokyo, Maui, New York and Chicago. My paintings are prominently featured in Napa, Escondido, and Palm Desert, California.
