I’ve always been drawn to observing, documenting, and creating—particularly when it involves the slightly absurd or anything that feels like magic. Some of my imagery crosses into experimental territory while some of it is close to raw, which is a balance and tension I also explore in my filmmaking. This particular selection is from a series I shot on film in Los Angeles over the past couple of years. Much of it was shot on extremely expired Kodak Gold.
