The physical world consists of water, earth, air and fire. The four elements are present in everything, they are constantly changing and purely natural. The four elements are my friends, each influencing my life in their own way, each in their own element. The silk fabric connects them and refers to the black ink of calligraphy artists from the Far East. Like the so-called 'ink wash paintings' that were popular in China in the seventh century, the aim was not to reproduce appearance but to capture its spirit.
