During a recent roadtrip through the Iberian Peninsula (Spain, Portugal and the south of France) I became fascinated with the abstract qualities I found within the play between light and architecture. Harsh shadows thrown onto the intensely coloured stucco walls with their distinct textures were the foundation for my exploration into a non-figurative representation of the area.
