jdx’s body of photography is concerned with the ephemera, fringe, and urban decay of cities and citizens. His work echoes Bergson’s thesis by exploring the interconnectedness of personal identities in such contexts. “I capture fringe characters who cannot easily be contained or categorized”, remarks the artist…“they have identities within identities all intertwined like strands of DNA.” His photography headlined a solo Tokyo gallery show entitled Outsider, and has been featured in many group art exhibitions, print and online publications. Most recently he was the artist-in-residence at the Ace Hotel NYC. jdx is based in NYC.
