I paint and draw pop-surreal scenes of introspection and self-discovery, often portraying an alter ego I call Melting Man. This existential figure is in flux, on a quest for creative fulfillment, coping (just barely) with the anxieties and harsh realities of the digital age, global warming, and now a pandemic. Through this aspirational avatar, made of fluid, abstract shapes, I aim to confront and transcend boundaries, internal conflicts and external pressures. Vibrant, amorphous blobs are often paired with striped patterns or geometric shapes, set against expansive landscapes, or confining spaces. With an evolving cast of symbolic characters, my art is a quest to unlock creative potential, overcome self doubt, and transform fear and anxiety into colorful and positive solutions for a world growing warmer and more unstable.
