Hiroyasu Tsuri grew up in Japan, and moved to Melbourne, Australia at the age of 18, he now he lives in Berlin, Germany.
Statue Of Forgotten World; This is an idea that I have been playing with from 2017. The first piece of this series that I painted was of St. George from Melbourne, Australia.
In this series of work the main subjects are mostly existing public statues, that are painted with colourful paint drags, blotches, and gestural colour brush, spray, and pen strokes. It seems a natural state of mind for me to have a lot of thought, and ideas all at the same time, including images, forms, history, personal memories and gestures combined altogether on the painting surfaces.
