I sit on the side, I observe, I wonder. As an introvert with rather adventurous tendencies, I spend a lot of time traveling on my own, watching people and the way they interact with their surroundings. I also constantly question my own sense of belonging.
Geographical or sociological belonging and the concepts of home and identity inform a lot of my work. I am fascinated by our place in the natural world and seek to convey a sense of scale and space in my landscape photography. I want people to see every detail of our world.
My latest projects feature lone subjects in vast landscapes or intimate portraits of banal details of city life. I often place my models in an artificial isolation inviting the viewers to question their own presence in this world, their own meaning and identity.
