Interrupted Monochrome celebrates limited color palettes as a way to emphasize details that may otherwise go unnoticed. Each triptych (mint green, yellow) tells a vignette using objects, one about a sensual evening, and one about an introvert's summer day.
I worked on this concept with Hanna Hagen, an art director. We bought various objects and spraypainted them into colors that matched the background and tabletops almost exactly. We used found objects from in and around her house that contrasted from the monochrome palette of each world to highlight the surrealist nature of the images.
