I have always been fascinated with the surreal compositions that can be created in the air by playing shapes and colours off one another. I chose to follow up another previous personal project, the Colour Series (https://www.ilannabarkusky.com/colourseries), with "Imagination". This work reflects the importance I place on experimentation to bring ideas to reality and the self-belief that is required to follow through and create something. It is up to us to see how far our imagination can take us along the way from that initial idea. Created in collaboration with animator Grace Shin.
