I Will Always be Here is a 68 page wordless graphic novel that reflects on people’s relationship with their hometown, especially for those who for reasons could not go back to their hometowns.
The story focuses on a little girl who has a deep connection with a magical factory in her town. She always visited it at night, until her family decided to move to another city. Her life went on a different track since then. 50 years later, she finally went on a journey back to the factory in her memory…
This story is inspired by my experience of migration in China and leaving China. I hope it will resonate with readers that have similar experiences in their lives.
