I could see the smallest things is a collection of 53 images and the result of 4 months of daily shooting in Barcelona and London. It is a personal reflection on imposed belief systems and the resulting alienation. It contrasts the elegance and crudeness of the material world, inviting the viewer to reflect on the beauty of their daily lives and the intangible influences that distract from them. Throughout this body of work, the images insist on the contemplation of what is real, fabricated, and inferred by the photographs themselves, as well as in the broader cultural context in which they are made. My greatest desire when making these photographs was for the viewer to experience the beauty of the images, then contemplate how exactly they were created.
