As an artist, my creative journey has been a lifelong pursuit of capturing the essence of life through the mesmerizing medium of oil painting. My name is Josiane Faubert, and I am deeply passionate about the arts.
My artistic inclination began to blossom during my formative years in Libreville, Gabon. It was in middle school that I forged a special bond with my visual art teacher, whose talent and guidance ignited my artistic spark. Later in life, my mother's own venture into silk painting further fueled my artistic curiosity. However, it was during my college years in San Francisco that I discovered oil painting, a medium that would become the cornerstone of my artistic expression.
I vividly recall a transformative moment while standing in front of Henri Matisse's "La Femme au Chapeau" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
