I create colorful and highly detailed works of art to express my love for the modern human as well as my concerns about contemporary city life. My hyperreal paintings are based on photographs I took during long walks through my hometown and major cities. They show people on the streets, in stores, public transport and museums or zoom in on popular products.
To me these glimpses of everyday live are important as they say a whole lot about todays society. They show the way people see themselves, interact or are influenced by modern developments in various ways. I observe it, enlarge it and paint it. That way I freeze time and our fast and busy lives are forever captured in a moment. Finally ready to be observed quietly.
