My practice essentially revolves around questioning the photographic medium. I am interested in the ambiguous relation between images and real life as well as their narrative possibilities. The appropriation of amateur images, archives or commercials take a large part in both my photographic and videographic practice. For me, these images, which I take out of context and transform, sometimes radically, embody the most prominent symptoms of the ubiquitous whims and stereotypes of our society. Likewise, in my recent work, I tempt to portrait a rapprochement between the influence of the images to which we are exposed and our relation to the living and the environment.
