Jacqueline Kyuseo Kim (b.1999) is a lens-based artist who carefully unravels her own memories from her cross-cultural upbringing. Born in South Korea, raised in Hong Kong, and travelled world-wide, Kim adapts her themes and projects intuitively.
Kim received her B.F.A at Photography in Savannah College of Art and Design. She worked as a darkroom lab monitor, and photography lighting studio monitor through her undergraduate studies.
In Home is not Far away, Kim is constructing the definition of home and her childhood. Her memories are intertwined between all three countries she has been living in; Kim started forming a nomadic understanding of the word “home” and through a mixed photographic and collage based process, Kim is creating new memories for her juvenile self.
