My work is an accumulation of translation, study, and expression; I process the world through interpretation into my work, capturing small pieces of human experience through a subtle expression or an inward-turned gaze. I work primarily in a variety of printmaking media– the layers of a print can be reminiscent of layers of the psyche or layers of association, such as the eye traveling from a chaste kiss framed by stage curtains down to feet planted unsteadily on vertical tiles from a Jerusalem church in Playing the Kiss. In my work, the figure is an entry point for the viewer into each piece; an invitation to envelop themselves in all the layers.
