Hey Mom, Hey Dad is a series of digital collages made with archives found over the Internet. I took the title from a famous Spanish song by Janette called "Oye mamá, Oye Papá". "Hey mom, hey dad, don't punish your son, tomorrow he'll have time for sacrifices.”. At first, I thought they would be fake ads related to frustration over love, but soon I realized that the ironic use of advertisement language would teleport us to a new demoniac dimension where maybe childhood and adulthood are the same bizarre thing. I like to grab things from the advertisement world and then use them as fake scripts I could have never written. I strongly believe that we are surrounded by infinite sources of things already made that allow us to create from zero some sort of mutant that is unrecognizable but still familiar (collage itself).
