Paint drips through my fingers as blood through my veins. I strive to delve into the dark areas of the human psyche by creating abstract pieces which encourage viewers to examine aspects of themselves they typically ignore, to bring their vulnerabilities to the surface and embrace their flaws and find strength through understanding their weaknesses. My pieces provoke questions instead of providing answers; their non-objective nature provides a different experience for each viewer instead of forcing one perspective.
My work is primarily abstract oil paintings incorporating various texture mediums or upcycled mediums including lace, netting, metals, etc. I veer into surrealism incorporating distorted figures or images into my abstraction to provide focus for viewers.
