One of the notes in the diary:
A few days after my brother drowned, it occurred to me what I had been doing for the past year or more, as the main subject of my paintings was water and the fact that someone had drowned in it. The last in the series illustrates Luke's sunken room, with a blue drowning man and my favorite childhood toy flying over everything.
By way of drastic information, I'll mention that the man fished out after a day, from a depth of eighteen meters, looks as if he is made of ice - a bit transparent, but blue dominates among the colors.
