This film is part II of a life long series about sisterhood. I want to continue working on this series, creating films for every live-changing life event until we are old and grey. The series are visual poems about memories, and shooting on film is the best way to capture that feeling. The consistancy rules are; always shot on 16mm film, same voice over, sound designer and always the same sisters.
The first video, "About Two Girls," was created in 2020 when my sister lived with me in Amsterdam for a short period. It explores the close and carefree bond between sisters during our mid-twenties. This film “Growing Old," made a few years later, delves into the next life-changing phase in our relationship during our early thirties when my sister became a mother while living in Portugal.
