‘Fardosa’ is a short coming-of-age film shot in Helsinki, Finland 2019
It is a story of Fardosa (acted by Rukia Mahamed), a young woman spending time with her cousin Iqlaas (Iqlaas Osman) and their friends around the city and its suburban areas. She secretly borrows the keys to her brother’s car. Hanging the evening out with her friends, in the endless sunset.
Fardosa is a collaboration between its co-stars Rukia Mahamed and Iqlaas Osman – first-time actors, writers and filmmakers – and director Anton Tammi, with the supporting actresses Marian Juuni, Sabah Mohamud, Saamia Mohamud and Saamia Kinzi Roble.
The entire cast consists of Finnish-Somali non-professional actors.
