The effects of the global increase in meat consumption have taken on considerable proportions, with massive consequences for the environment and the climate, as well as for people.
With "Family Carnivore", a series of 7 analogue collages, I play with the saying: you are what you eat. The portraits show the proverbial man made flesh in an entertaining and at the same time frightening way.
The viewer is denied a look inside the portrayed person. Instead of human features, the viewer sees nothing but dead, animal flesh that has neither life nor soul. A reflection of today's society?
Don't get me wrong, I love meat. Nevertheless, this issue should be fundamentally reconsidered in our consciousness and in our actions.
