With the series ‘Experiment 02’, Kooken uses photography as a tool to experiment & study artificial materials. By placing the emergency blanket in a foreign context -nature-, Kooken aims to create a contrast that only the viewer can accept or reject.
Kooken’s photography process so far has been driven by the meticulous study of artificial materials such as plastic foil, whether in the developing process or in the final photo.
“Experiment 02” is part of a larger ongoing visual research project that explores the behavior of artificial materials in contrast to natural spaces by repurposing them resulting in a range of contemporary images.
