Emotions

The material that every artist, clinical psychologist, or psychotherapist works with is emotions. We are so sure of the validity of our emotions that we do not ask how we create them. How much of them we learn and how much the environment defines them. "Emotions are for the soul what food is for the body." - Rudolf Steiner.

Emotional Inflation

It seems we live in a world where emotions are the most popular language. Facebook asks how we feel in every post. Even WhatsApp messages require an emotional icon for each sentence.

In a reality where there is seemingly emotional inflation - and we all seek to be moved and feel - and the sign "emotional" has become a cliché. Many questions in the field of emotions remain almost taboo; we are afraid to ask if this is really what we feel. And what exactly is an emotion?
