I love to make playful forms that perform and evolve throughout, and beyond, my creation of them – especially in terms of their shape, and the physicality of the unstable materials I build them from
I love to hand-make work, defined by my physical limits; hanging things only as high as I can reach, or from ropes as high and as able as I can throw, using convenient materials, and often literally defining shapes by the strength, energy and shape of my body used when making
Working between drawing and sculpture, I’m excited by what can happen when forms and lines are extended into palpable shapes in space – with dependencies on weight, material reactions, and physical limits – that can share, invade and exceed spaces of viewers
